Joan Balongag
(Registered Nurse)
I am a registered nurse with four years of clinical experience across critical care, Interventional Radiology, and Surgical Orthopedics. Throughout my nursing career, I have cared for a wide range of patients with complex medical needs, which has strengthened my clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to provide safe, high-quality care in fast-paced environments.
My experience in critical care has given me a strong foundation in patient monitoring, critical thinking, and managing acute conditions. In Interventional Radiology, I have developed skills in procedural care, patient preparation, and recovery, ensuring safety and comfort throughout treatments. In Surgical Orthopedics, I have worked with patients before and after surgery, focusing on preoperative preparation, patient education, recovery, mobility, and pain management. These combined experiences have shaped my ability to provide well-rounded, patient-centered care across all stages of treatment and recovery.
I am currently pursuing my Family Nurse Practitioner degree and have completed clinical rotations that have further expanded my knowledge in patient assessment and care planning. My training has strengthened my focus on preventative care, wellness, and supporting long-term health. I believe healthcare should go beyond treating illness and instead focus on helping individuals maintain energy, recovery, and overall well-being.
